This plug-in has an atrocius security record over the years. It only performs 1 real task yet require weekly updates to fix issues. I look forward to the day someone else offers a similar product so I can uninstall it. Followed closely by Adobe Reader, another rubbish product but luckily there is an excellent alternative called Foxit Reader.
I do not like Flash at all. I use this plug-in in a virtual machine because I consider it being very unsecure and annoying. If I could, I wouldn't be using it at all.
I wish Adobe would provide a "disable button" to temporarily disable the Flash Player plugin. Whenever I try reading online articles, my screen starts to jerk scroll. That, my friend, is Adobe Flash Player plugin stealing CPU resources. Disable it and the jerk scrolling goes away.
Apparently Adobe doesn't have any good programmers to fix this (they've known about it for years). Oh, I'm sure they'll blame Microsoft too for their line of inferior products.

I'd say Adobe is the best. All should try it.
